Mary Jo Thomas has been named the 2025 Liberty 4th of July Parade Grand Marshal, celebrating her upcoming retirement at the end of June as CEO of Whitewater Valley Rural Electric Membership Corporation. The community is encouraged to join in honoring Thomas’s decades of support during the parade, scheduled for Saturday, July 5th at 1 p.m. on Union Street, with lineup beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Union County Middle School parking lot. The event is part of Freedom Weekend festivities, promising a fun-filled day for residents and visitors alike.
