A New Memorabilia Room will be unveiled at the upcoming Short High School & Union County High School Alumni Association Banquet.

Grab your tickets while you still can! The Short High Union County High School Alumni Banquet is scheduled for June 21 at 4 p.m. at the Union County High School cafeteria. Tickets for the banquet are on sale for $16 at Kehila Coffee. The event will include a catered meal along with raffle items for the attendees. The cutoff for purchasing tickets is Saturday, June 14.

The banquet’s highlight will be the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new alumni showcase, located in Room 101. The space honors the school’s history and provides a dedicated area for alumni memorabilia. This year’s alumni banquet will mark the official unveiling of this special exhibit area.

The new alumni room will feature nearly 75 class photos collected over multiple decades. It will also include three, glass showcases that house memorabilia such as letterman jackets, old banners, flags, and more, giving attendees a nostalgic glimpse into their school days. Some of the items from the display cases were graciously donated by the Union County Historical Society.

The Short High Union County High School Alumni Banquet serves as the perfect chance for alumni to reconnect and reflect on their school years in a festive setting. Historically, the annual event has hosted between 100 and 150 guests, and considering the new alumni room this year’s event is poised to be even more popular!
