Whitewater Valley Rural Electric Membership Corporation (REMC) has named Joshua Johnson as its new CEO, succeeding Mary Jo Thomas who retired after 28 years of service, including 12 years as president and CEO. With over 25 years of experience in the electric cooperative sector, Johnson worked at Rappahannock Electric Cooperative in Virginia. His diverse background also includes roles such as Key Accounts Executive and Distribution Engineering Supervisor. Johnson was chosen from a rigorous search of over 70 applicants nationwide. REMC serves approximately 24.7% of Union County, Indiana.
