Pohlar Fabrics will be featured in a quilt shop hop sweepstakes! They have teamed up with Shop Hop INC for an inaugural event, known as, The Great Sewing Adventure Across Indiana. From May to June, thousands of quilt enthusiasts will visit Union County for this statewide promotion.

“The store is expecting 1500-2000 visitors for the shop hop; or, maybe more! We want them to stick around town, eat at our restaurants, and shop at more of our small businesses,” said Megan Pohlar, owner/operator of Pohlar Fabrics.

If you’re a Union County quilt enthusiast and would like to get involved, you can purchase a copy of Shop Hop INC Magazine 2025 at Pohlar Fabrics. Inside the magazine, you will find a contest passport, regional maps, store hours, patterns, and quilt-related articles. The cover price is $12.95.

To enter the sweepstakes, you must visit at least two participating stores, log them onto your passport, then submit your passport to Shop Hop INC via mail or online—it’s that simple! No purchase is necessary, beside from the magazine. You will receive one entry for each qualifying passport and multiple entries are permitted. According to Shop Hop INC, over 70 quilt stores across Indiana are participating. The deadline for submitting is June 30, 2025.

Upon entering The Great Sewing Adventure Across Indiana, you will have a chance to win a seven-day quilting cruise getaway. One lucky shopper, and their favorite “quiltsie”, will enjoy a luxurious Royal Caribbean cruise and onboard quilting classes from master instructors.
