Get ready for a summer filled with fantastic music and community spirit in Liberty, Indiana! The Live In Liberty concert series is returning, promising a vibrant lineup of musical talent that will transform your Wednesday evenings into memorable events. This year’s schedule is packed with diverse acts, ensuring there’s a performance to suit every musical taste, from classic country sounds to tropical rhythms and energetic twang. Be sure to mark your calendars and prepare to enjoy some great music under the open sky right here in good ole’ Liberty.

Best of all, these concerts are absolutely free and open to the public! Join the fun at 24 E Union Street in Liberty from 6pm-8pm on the first Wednesday of each month, running from May through September. Each month will also feature a different delicious food truck to satisfy your cravings, a dedicated kid’s activity zone complete with games and bounce houses for the little ones, and for the adults, beer will be available for purchase. It’s the perfect way to enjoy an evening out with family and friends without having to face the music of a hefty bill

The concert series officially kicks off on Wednesday, May 7th, with a performance by Joe Hess and the Wandering Cowboys. This group is known for their authentic take on classic and outlaw country music. Attendees can expect an evening filled with traditional country melodies, heartfelt storytelling through lyrics, and a sound that evokes the spirit of country legends. It’s the perfect way to start the summer concert season with some genuine American roots music.

Following the opening act, the series continues on Wednesday, June 4th, with a performance by Neon Heartaches. This band is an ensemble of veteran rock musicians that play some of the best covers of classic songs from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. Neon Heartaches offers a fantastic trip down memory lane, letting audiences relive the iconic sounds and energy of timeless music that has shaped popular culture through out generations.

As July arrives, prepare for a change of pace and a trip to paradise on Wednesday, July 2nd, with the Pirates of the Caribbean. Not a Disney movie, but rather a fantastic Jimmy Buffett cover band! Get ready to sing along to all of your favorite tropical tunes and embrace the laid-back, beach-inspired vibes that Buffett’s music is famous for. It’s the perfect opportunity to kick back, relax, and enjoy some island-inspired music in the heart of Indiana.

Taking a brief pause from the regular musical performances, the Live In Liberty series also includes a special community event on Wednesday, July 31st: a Back to School Bash. This event will offer free haircuts, backpack giveaways, and essential school supplies, giving students a chance to stock up before the new school year.

Adding to the summer’s musical offerings, the Doug Hart Band will take the stage on Wednesday, August 7th. The Doug Hart Band is known for their high-energy performances and eclectic mix of rock, blues, and country influences. Audiences can expect a dynamic show featuring powerful vocals, skillful musicianship, and a setlist that spans various genres, promising a night of diverse and engaging music that will keep you on your feet.

The Live In Liberty concert series will wrap up on Wednesday, September 3rd, with a performance by 90 Proof Twang. Fronted by Union County local, Josh Brock, this crowd favorite is making their annual stop in Liberty. Expect a high-energy show that you can sing along with, strong in country music and elements of Southern rock. Don’t miss this lively and exciting conclusion to the summer concert season – it’s the perfect way to end on a high note and leave you counting down the days until the next series!
