You might think this place sells health food or organic juices; but, you would be mistaken. Nicknamed the “I love you boutique,” according to the owners, the phrase Olive Juice comes from  “The Other Sister,” a 1999 film starring Juliette Lewis. During a standout scene, Lewis playfully shares this message with her lover from across a crowded room. She locks eyes with him and slowly whispers, “…olive juice…” The shape of her lips, and the prolonged sound, create an illusion that mimics, “I love you.”

When you whisper, “olive juice,” your lips are saying, “I love you.”  Clip from “The Other Sister” (1999), directed by Gary Marshall.

Union County’s newest business is owned and operated by Charity Mullins. Together with her husband, David, the pair have completely remodeled the old Vintage Leaf store into their own vision.

Shop for hidden gems found in plain sight, waiting to be discovered inside this beautifully decorated boutique.

The Mullins family resides in Boston, but their children go to Union County High School. According to Charity, Liberty is their second home, she explained, “My son (Noah) graduated last year. I have one daughter (Ava) that’s a freshman, and another (Brooke) that’s a junior. They have a lot of friends around town- We are very happy to be here. My husband and I love this community.”

Noah Mullins graduated from UCHS in 2023. Currently, he is in charge of marketing for the new business. Brooke will soon be working at the store, behind the counter. And their youngest, Ava, assists with behind the scenes jobs, like helping with the shop’s decorations. “We’re all a team, and we are excited to be doing this together,” Charity said.

Olive Juice Primitives has plenty of clothes and two brand new fitting rooms.
